Dan Villegas is a graphic designer, illustrator, and typography-obsessed soul living in Austin, Texas. He specializes in digital and traditional illustration, with a focus on balancing typography and illustration to create cohesive designs. At a young age he was drawn to video games, music, film, and illustrations within the pages of Nintendo Power, but didn’t discover his true love of design and typography until attending college at West Texas A&M University, where he studied for a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design.

He has experience in a variety of mediums, from screen printing to package design. He believes strongly that a great design should visually communicate its message without additional explanation, and that typography can serve to elevate that design. He operates on the same principle he has had since his youth, a lesson that was reinforced during his tenure in art school. Work hard and persevere to be the best at what you do (but always remember that the devil is in the details!)

He shares his adventures with his beautiful wife Dixi and their two dogs Fitz & Ted E. In his off time he enjoys video-games, great stories, super-heroes, and most notably, food. As he lives in the world capital of BBQ, he is obsessed with eating the best brisket he can find in this great state, and as a child of a Hispanic Texan family he most especially loves beans, rice, burritos, and a delicious taco.
